Harold and Maude
At nineteen Harold is in love with death. He attends funerals, fakes suicides, drives a souped up hearse. Maude, nearly eighty, freewheels in search of adventure in ‘borrowed’ cars. They are outsiders, who have ducked the system, are talked about, and who make us laugh.
This is the story of their exuberant romance, and of Maude’s eightieth birthday party when Harold falls in love with life. Set in a disused railway carriage crammed with the objects of Maude’s life, a cast of actor/musicians brings to life this unusual love story.
