Tools for the Trade Showcase March 2012 Review

Our showcase for the Tools for the Trade project went down a storm this week featuring live music from our groups of young people as well as the official premiere of the music video for ‘Walk Over Me’.

The event was attended by a great mixture of young people, local community members, educational staff from across the area as well as local artists and professionals.

Following from the day the showcase was featured both in the Yorkshire Post (find the article here) and also had a long feature on BBC Radio Leeds (listen in here)

Tools for the Trade is an alternative education project by Interplay which enables young people who don’t fit into mainstream education to work alongside industry professionals, creating products music, film and many other art forms. Making use of state of the art equipment and technology which can then be passed on and used in the workplace or further education.

Watch out for more information about our future Tools for the Trade showcases and keep track of the project on our Twitter and Facebook.
